International Sponsorship

The one-on-one support between the sponsor and the child in poor countries suffering from poverty and disease, helps the children to enjoy basic human rights and grow healthy.

Major Projects

1:1 Child Sponsorship
We provide overall support for children's livelihood by selecting the children from poor areas and matching them with the sponsors on a 1:1 basis.
Basic livelihood support : Basic daily necessities and food for living
Educational Programs : Providing school expenses, textbooks, school supplies, etc. to children so that they can continue to study without giving up on their dreams
Health and Medical Support : Taking care of the child's basic nutrition and health with vaccinations and nutritional supplements, and providing emergency medical support in case they are injured or sick.

Special Sponsorship
several-for-one (or 1:1) Sponsorship for burned children, single mothers and their children urgently need more help
Sponsorship for the children with burns : Providing burn ointments that must be continuously applied to the affected area, and daily necessities and food to families who have difficulty living due to medical expenses
Sponsorship for unmarried mothers : Providing tuition, textbooks, school supplies, etc., so that single mothers in their teens can continue their studies, and daily necessities (diapers, milk powder, etc.) necessary for raising young children

International Sponsorship Procedures

Application You can apply for it online or offline and select the country you want to sponsor, etc.
Matching children It is matched on a 1:1 basis in the order of the children who urgently help. (several-for-one support for the children in need of more help:)
Children Data Within a month after matching sponsorship, you will receive the child's identification card, sponsor guide, the child’s photos, and seed stick.
Feedback One year after you started sponsoring, you can receive the annual development report and a letter written by the child.

Relationship with your sponsored child

Child Identification Card You can check the detailed information of your sponsored child
Updates on your sponsored child Through the Annual Development Report (and a letter written by the child), you can get the news from your sponsored child (once a year).
Exchanging letter and delivering gifts You can exchange letters with your sponsored child and send some gifts to him(her).
Share Sarangbat Newsletter (twice a year) You can get quarterly the newsletters about the projects conducted by Share Sarangbat.
Receipt for income deduction (year-end) You can receive it by mail or print it out on the Sarangbat website or the National Tax Service website

Shelters

A Shelter is a comprehensive welfare facility that serves as a habitation or refuge for the underprivileged, such as the poor, orphans, and refugees who have no place to stay due to poverty, war, discrimination, or disability. Share Sarangbat provides basic livelihoods, emergency medical care, facility repair, and education necessary for living through the shelter project. In addition, we help neighbors in need to protect their basic human rights by installing facilities suitable for each country, such as orphanages, day care centers, boarding schools for single mothers, after-school classes, schools for the disabled.

Major Projects

Shelters provide the most appropriate environment and supports for the children according to local characteristics so that they can defend their basic human rights and grow happily. Now, Share Sarangbat is operating the shelters for single mother/disabled, education shelters, childcare shelters.

Water and Sanitation

About 1.3 million children worldwide lose their precious lives each year due to dirty water and unsanitary conditions. In addition, about 156 million children under the age of five die due to contaminated water. (As of 2020). Share Sarangbat is supplying drinking water and conducting hygiene education projects to save the children in poor countries who are exposed to harsh environments.

Well Digging : Developing common wells in the village/school unit for the areas where drinking water is needed
Water Facilities : For the areas where wells cannot be digged, providing water treatment facilities and water tanks suitable for the local circumstances
Portable Water Purifiers : Supplying portable water purifiers to households in the areas where tap water is not properly purified
Hygiene Education : Education to improve awareness of hygiene so that children and residents can save their lives from waterborne diseases

Improvement of living environment

A 'house' is one of the essential conditions of life. However, in the slums of the poorest countries, there are the residents who suffer from poor living conditions such as a garbage village, etc. Share Sarangbat finds the households in need and is carrying out the projects to renovate the residential environment so that the can live safely and comfortably.

Vocational Education

There are many local residents all over the world who are in poverty due to poor environment, limited resources and low technology. Share Sarangbat expands the opportunities for residents to learn skills, and provides them with an educational environment to strengthen their self-reliance capabilities.

Energy Support

We will present a bright future to children living without light by supporting solar energy in energy-hungry areas around the world .

Supply of Solar Energy Lights :Supplying ‘solar energy lights’ to the areas with no electricity to prevent dangerous accidents in the dark and ensure a safe life. Creating an environment where children and youth can study even at night
Solar Panel : Providing power for the local residents of poor countries through solar panels so that they can use not only light but also electronic devices (cell phones, radio, etc.)

Support for Schools Operation

Share Sarangbat have established schools for the children who do not have the opportunity to learn, and supports them to continue their studies. In addition, we provide education programs such as literacy classes and after-school classes to the children and women who are out of the basic education environment.

Establishment and Operation of Schools : Founding public schools approved by the government in the areas where the basic education environment is not established, and providing funds and supplies necessary for school operation

Health Education

Prevention of disease is the most basic way to save your life from dangerous diseases. Accordingly, we educate young people about health awareness and basic hygiene sense so that they can protect themselves from diseases, and guide them for good health and hygiene practices.

Nutritional Support

Every year, 3 million children around the world lose their lives from malnutrition because they can only eat one meal a day. In addition, according to the UN report, the number of hungry people reaches 820 million (almost 26.4% of the world's population). (As of 2018). Share Sarangbat runs the nutritional support projects to save the children suffering from poverty and hunger, so that they can grow healthy.
